However this one-time grasp for a high amount of the actual possession in the form of stocks is just wrong on some many accounts. Stocks are only money (and consequentally taxable) when sold - forcing people to sell of large amount of stocks wouldn't only be detrimental to their companies, but would have the potential to crash the stock market.
