It's not about the tech industry but the prevailing culture of the country and region. Drinks after work is extremely common in most places.
- lotsofpulp 6y agoIn the US, there is a huge portion of the country, if not majority, that must drive home from work. Women certainly can’t afford a couple drinks before driving, maybe even one, as it can impair their driving abilities and result in drunk driving. Probably true for many men too.
- manigandham 6y agoAny amount of alcohol can cause impairment in any person.
- lotsofpulp 6y agoYes, of course. And I would recommend abstaining from any driving after any amount of alcohol, but I meant sufficiently impaired that it causes you legal troubles.
