Where I work lots of people have bottles of liquor on their desks, even some sprint retros or meetings are done with a bottle on the table. There are endless happy hours & days of the week where we get served alcohol on premise. Team outings cannot happen without alcohol being involved. Take two sets of people: those who drink & those who do not - guess which set gets promoted/large raises/etc.
