What they're not saying is that the Chinese will have to completely shut down many of their silicon foundries because of a lack of specialized chemicals only available from the USA and Japan.
- gumby 6y agoUntil now it hasn’t been cost effective to develop internal sources for these supplies. Now the US has provided an (essentially infinite) price support for domestic production and all the infrastructure and supply chain that go along with it.
