Tangential to the topic: is there somewhere I can buy keyboard stickers with the macOS shortcut symbols on them? I couldn't find them when I looked in the past, and it is frustrating looking at my external keyboard (or even many internal keyboards) and trying to figure out which key matches which funky symbol.
- chadlavi 6y agoit would be really cool to have a keyboard (a physical one) where each key had a tiny display on it, and the key's label changed to reflect what it will do based on the modifiers currently depressed
- occamschainsaw 6y agoI was really excited about this (super expensive) keyboard in the mid oughts. https://www.artlebedev.com/optimus/maximus/ https://www.artlebedev.com/optimus/maximus/
- crazygringo 6y agoTruly. The fact that menus use all these crazy arcane symbols for keys like Esc, Del, Tab, and so on, but they're not on the keyboard itself, has always baffled me. Cmd, Opt, and Ctrl all have symbols on the keyboard. For the rest of the keys, why don't menus just literally spell out "Esc", "Tab", "Del"?
- 1-more 6y agoOption and Control didn't even have these symbols until pretty recently, maybe 5ish years? Annoying.
