While I think there are differences, the similarities are striking enough to be of concern. For example, the deployment of a paramilitary-like force in Portland makes me think back to what I've read about the early days of the SS. With respect to the biased judiciary, the way the courts are being stacked in the US may well result in something similar. The AG appears to be already fairly biased (compromised?). Yes, there are differences still, even in the situations I describe above, but the similarities are worrying.
