I was thinking about this the last time plasma replenishment came up on HN. I can’t donate blood as I lived in the UK during the “mad cow” years, which prevents me from donating in various other European countries. Simple blood-letting might be feasible... but something feels odd about just throwing large volumes of blood away, and my partner wasn’t totally down to help with the practical side...
