Less extreme, but my first couple years out of college, the company I worked for had a habit of running low on money during the summers. So we would end up with about a week off unpaid each month June - Sept. It was actually really nice. Kind of miss it. I guess alternately, I could just get a job somewhere with a decent vacation policy.
