I really like my Pixel 4. I don't think it's boring or bland. I think it actually has way more features than an iPhone, and I'd rather have that than 5 years support.
The Pixel 4 has automatic call screening, live transcription of voice recordings, instant translation, the Google Assistant works in my native language (which Siri doesn't understand), there's Soli chip (which is gimmicky, but I'm a developer, I enjoyed making apps which use the Soli chip), Google Lens built into the camera, the Google Assistant is leaps and bounds beyond Siri, etc.
Tasker on my phone is something I wouldn't give up for more years of support, and I really enjoy all the customizability Android phones offer as well.
Anything you can do on iOS/MacOS I can do with my Pixel. I can text from my desktop, receive notifications on both screens, send files and share clipboard between phone and desktop. And I can share files with anyone (Apple or Android device) over LAN using my Pixel because I can open a shell on my phone and start up a mini one-time file server which closes once the file is downloaded. And I can do all that with a push of a button.
IMO Androids are fun phones that also boost your productivity. That's worth having to change them out every 3 years.
