Google doesn't care about the rampant spam extensions on the Android store/Chrome extension store. One of my co-workers reached out to me asking about a pop-up saying she needed to install a chrome extension. I looked it up and it's some adware extension. Has 30 "reviews" with 5 stars and it's obvious that they're all paid/bot reviews.
