Does the fingerprint scanner work when you are wearing disposable gloves ?
- SketchySeaBeast 6y agoDo people wear disposable gloves? A facemask I can understand, but I'm not sure of the value of disposable gloves vs good hand hygiene.
- curiousgal 6y agoPeople seem to forget that their skin is a glove when it comes to viruses. My point is instead of wearing gloves you can just avoid touching your face until you wash your hands or use hand sanitizer, which you can't do wearing gloves.
- ISL 6y agoEvery time I've removed my skin, it has been most unpleasant.
- dsr_ 6y ago...so don't touch your face with it.
- riffraff 6y agogloves have a pretty strong effect in preventing you from touching your face, when you remove the face mask because you get into a car. Your skin does not.
- SketchySeaBeast 6y agoYou should probably be hand sanitizing when you're getting in the car - if you keep the gloves on you're just smearing whatever you picked up at the store all over your car doors, keys, and steering wheel, as well as the strings of your mask. Assuming you use the car gloved in the next day or so, it's now on your hands as well.
- aeroevan 6y agoI've also been wearing gloves out places just so that my hands don't get too dry from using so much hand sanitizer/washing. Washing or sanitizing the gloves doesn't dry out my skin which is nice.
- ollien 6y agoI wear them when at the grocery store, primarily. There's a lot of high touch there. It's probably overkill, but it makes me feel more comfortable about it.
- grey-area 6y agoSo, you wear gloves at the grocery store, then you touch your phone with them? Wearing gloves isn't going to help unless you also wash everything you touched with gloves. If you're concerned about touching things when out wash your hands when you get home (and anything else you've touched while out).
- SketchySeaBeast 6y agoI just don't touch my phone in the store and hand sanitize before I touch my wallet or car keys (anything I'm taking home with me) and then again after I put the cart away. At each of those contact points I'd need to sanitize my gloves as well so it doesn't seem to provide extra protection.
- komali2 6y agoPeople around here do but my research indicates it's no better than just regularly washing your hands and using hand sanitizer (and never touching your face, of course).
