- oblio 6y agoThat's such a niche thing, though. How many people will use that feature more than once? 0.001%?
- PopePompus 6y agoThere's a subreddit for photos taken with Pixels (https://www.reddit.com/r/pixelography/ https://www.reddit.com/r/pixelography/). About 1/4 of the posted images are Nightsight or Astrophotography mode images. People may not use it a lot, but they seem to be very proud of the results when they do use it.
- parliament32 6y agoUsing your phone's camera is niche? I don't know about you but I easily take a dozen photos a day, between SC and work documents and social photos.. honestly the quality of a phone's camera hardware and software is the defining factor for buying a phone for me.
- oblio 6y agoI'm not sure how you could read my comment and the one above it and misinterpret it that way. I was talking about astrophotography.
- mugsie 6y agoNightsight on its own is freaking magic, and makes the camera worth it for me. Taking pictures in doors, or in a bar (not that I can do that anymore :) ) was easy on a pixel, and always came out looking good.
- j45 6y agoNeat, the Google Camera phone is definitely amazing. My reference is to the thing that's more important than cameras or any feature - Android One is about ongoing and meaningful security updates that are available to the devices in the same month that they are released.
