- SketchySeaBeast 6y agoThat's a bit concerning for you - I was able to navigate there without issue. Edit: That's kind of possibly concerning for you. It may be totally fine. Still seems weird.
- searchableguy 6y agoYou might have clicked on a techcrunch link in the past few weeks or live in a country different than the OP. They use http redirects to assign you an advertising ID based on your IP or something afaik.
- ffpip 6y agoIt is only for European users
- slenk 6y agoI would say its more concerning for everyone else that is getting third party cookies embedded as first
- Sohcahtoa82 6y agoIs some hijacking you before you even get to techcrunch.com? Or is it loading the page and then redirecting you? Why aren't you using an ad blocker?
- trulyrandom 6y agoThe latter. I am. I'm using uBlock Origin, but apparently this redirect got through. Then the DNS lookup of guce.advertising.com failed because of the filter I have set up on that end, so my Techcrunch experience ended on an error page.
- Sohcahtoa82 6y agoWow that's really shady.
- speedgoose 6y agoI have the same behaviour. Techcrunch is redirecting to their spying partner and then the adblocker shows an error page. I guess it's an http redirect but I haven't checked because I prefer to write comments than debugging crappy websites. To the people behind this : Go to hell.
