Is there no database where they can lookup "drugs for x" as a quick refresher? Aren't they paid like 300k/yr?

  Sure, there are service that collect data for new drugs. But do you want your doctor prescribing something they’ve glanced at for 5 min? Take a look at the label for a random drug, it’s often 20 pages or more of data. Doctors, rightfully so, don’t want to prescribe something unless they are well versed in benefits and risks. That takes time and effort.

      If your doctor knows nothing about a drug, but prescribed it because you saw it on TV, find another doctor.
