An undergrad degree in physics from my personal observation is typically quite math heavy and you learn mechanics, electrical theory, and many people in their 2nd year for their senior projects build fairly practical things. No idea what that was like back in the 90s for somebody like Elon. So I think its a bit different from an accounting degree.
