But better to have it than not to, unless you announce to the desperate masses that you have lotsa gold >>I truly don't see gold being of any use in a collapse where suddenly food is the most valuable asset. You can do without food for weeks, and many will trade food for gold ("I have enough food" etc etc). plus, you can provision for food too. The idea is to make believe you don't have x% of your networth and buy gold/silver/guns/food/land with it for that one moment in time.
