Well just because that is how a lot of software gets deployed doesn't mean it sucks any less. I hate subscriptions because the costs adds up very quickly. I try to save more than 50% of my income so having several subs is just not happening. I'd rather not have any software at all or much crappier alternatives of it rather than paying every month.
