- derwiki 6y agoI doubt an Instacart contractor would turn down a cash tip. Pre-COVID, I exclusively tipped Lyft drivers cash. Yes I had to keep small bills around. Ended up not being a big deal.
- dylan604 6y agoTaping an envelope to your door clearly visible for the delivery person would still remain contactless. If the envelope is still there when you pick up your items, then no harm in trying
- Johnny555 6y agoAnd if it's not, then you'll wonder if it went to the Instacart driver or the UPS guy. (well, not my UPS guy, he's actually a she, and she gives my dogs treats when she sees him)
- dylan604 6y agoYou kind of know if you have deliveries coming to your house, right? You get to schedule your Insta deliveries, so just don't make your Insta deliver 10:30am, 3pm, or 9pm. Should avoid the UPS delivery
- Johnny555 6y agoI live in a condo with 4 doors in close proximity, so I don't really know when UPS, Fededx, Ontrac, Amazon Delivery or USPS are coming -- UPS could come anytime from 8am-6pm, and sometimes more than once a day.
- dylan604 6y agoFair enough. I wasn't considering non-single family locations. At that point, you wouldn't know if it was a rando walking down the corridors let alone an actual delivery person. No good deed goes unpunished
- base3 6y agoThis is what I do. I write INSTACART on it. Everyone loves cash.
- csunbird 6y agoHow do you secure it? People steal Amazon packages regularly, I think they would not hesitate to steal something that says "Instacart" on it.
- qppo 6y agoIs there an app to deliver cash to my house? I haven't been to an ATM in at least a year. /s but only kind of.
- dylan604 6y agoyou do have a point. i have used cashapp more in the past 4 months than i have ever used it.
