This is genuinely stupid code from a first-week-junior dev who is still learning a lot. The worst code i've ever seen was a PHP function that printed a menu (with relative permissions) from a database. Problem: it was O(n^3), 200 lines long, completely unmantainable and with random fails. Problem n° 2: it was written by our "best" programmer. It took me one hour to rewrite that into a 10 lines O(nlogn) function that my PM didn't want to use inside the framework because it was my first week.
