I'm new here (this is my first comment by the way, so hello everybody), but I'm sorry to see a long-time contributor go. The fact that I'm new doesn't mean I don't see that the signal-to-noise ratio is not really good. I came across some very good and inspirational articles, but also a lot of things that in no way have something to do with the reason people follow HN. And I share z92's belief in a cool community we have yet to discover. On the other hand, this is probably the fate of every community: it's great while few people are a part of it, but its quality degrades rapidly when it gains serious traction.
