Vicar – Multi-dimensional image processing software
- jakeogh 6y agoAnyone know of a vid overview? I searched yt, there are some hits, but they don't appear to be about this.
- ur-whale 6y ago>that has been developed since 1966 Assuming it's not a typo, not many Open Source projects can make that kind of claim ! There's a getting started guide here: https://www-mipl.jpl.nasa.gov/vicar_os/v2.0/vicar-docs/VICAR_guide_2.0.pdf https://www-mipl.jpl.nasa.gov/vicar_os/v2.0/vicar-docs/VICAR...

- jiggunjer 6y agoI think "multi-spectral" is more suitable than "multi-dimensional". And aren't all images multidimensional by definition? Not sure what a 1D image would look like.
- m4r35n357 6y agoPretty sure they mean the data is multi-dimensional, not the image! "VICAR, which stands for Video Image Communication And Retrieval, is a general purpose image processing software system that has been developed since 1966 to digitally process multi-dimensional imaging data."
- AlexDragusin 6y ago> Not sure what a 1D image would look like. A line.
- rleigh 6y agoOr a single pixel with a time dimension (used in correlation spectroscopy).
- The_rationalist 6y agoWhat dimension is a dot?
- ithkuil 6y agoZero
- postsantum 6y agoOne, if it can change color
- ithkuil 6y agoIf it has one property that can change over time it's no longer a dot, but a line moving in the time dimension
- The_rationalist 6y agoZero should be the void
