As a former HVAC tech assistant, I can say that you'll easily find a tech to help you out if you pay them enough. That said, refrigerant removal and reinsertion is regulated now and it's somewhat of a pain to do properly even with the right equipment.

  could use a junk-yard AC system as it's likely already been drained, would be pretty standard to refill with automotive product too.
