"The pursuit of achievement distracts from the deeply ordinary activities and relationships that make life meaningful." Obviously if they value achievement more, then that's what's more meaningful to them. Not sure how anybody can define what's meaningful in general for everybody. And meaning changes with time - what's meaningful today, may not be tomorrow.
