You should have zero confidence in "the crypto community". On expectation, anyone who describes themselves in those terms is probably a scammer. Bitcoin is not a scam, and maybe a small number of other "cryptocurrencies", but the same can not be said for any of the zillion products that try to ride on Bitcoin's coattails.
