I have sold apps on the App Store for a decade now, and I have to admit I did believe the original tweet. I was going to go through the financial reports during the weekend to verify, but the initial reaction was “of course they would do this, it’s Apple”.
- dhsysusbsjsi 6y agoThe fact this tweet is so believable says something about how poorly Apple has been treating its developers the last decade.
- mr_toad 6y agoOr it just says something about confirmation bias.
- celticninja 6y agoConfirmation bias is usually as a result of previous behaviour allowing us to make assumptions about how something would respond/act. Confirmation bias in this situation is because it sounds in line with how Apple operate elsewhere.
- komocode 6y agoSuch an awful comment.
- 1337shadow 6y agoNot an Apple user nor developer, but damn, 30% seems above reasonable ...
- jkbyc 6y agosame like all Apple pricing, no? Seems just above reasonable, rubs you the wrong way, yet you still go for it. Sort of perfect from their perspective
