Another issue in big companies: There are obvious inefficiencies as autonomous teams do redundant work. Some things should be centralized (eg payroll) but others not (eg design). Where to draw the line? For example, should autonomous teams create their own build tool chains?
- undro 6y agoThis is the exact dilemma described in "High Output Management." Corporate organization is the art of deciding what to centralize and what to decentralize.
