In my experience as an engineer in Australia, I did 0 liberal arts rounding. At the time, I didn't see the point. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it and been quite annoyed by it, especially if it wasn't given through an engineering-specific lens. However, these days I've come to realise the value it can provide. I did not even have an engineering ethics class.
