It's not very big outside of the USA culture as far as I'm aware. I suppose it depends on your location and cultural context as to the 'currentness' of those concepts. Perhaps it's also a matter of scale; the classical groups that would be in to that stuff have changed both shape and size in that area of Europe and are not really all that visible or impactful.
