Personally, I have a hard time understanding why IQ is held at such high esteem. It certainly is relevant as it provides a baseline idea of ones intelligence. B

Personally, I have a hard time understanding why IQ is held at such high esteem. It certainly is relevant as it provides a baseline idea of ones intelligence. But when a cup of coffee or a bad sleep can warp a metric like IQ, I have to wonder why we're so insulted or dependent of it. I realize that IQ is the best we have, but you can't ignore the variances and still label people knowing that it's not really an exact science.
