  There were two Iraq wars - the Gulf war in 1990 and the Iraq war in 2003.

    It’s very hard to declare the first Iraq war as lost or ended in stalemate.

    The US-led coalition won the Gulf War. In fact, it was a very decisive victory.

  Curious how those would be framed as lost or statement personally. Both have had long occupations, but you have to toy with the definition of winning to frame either of these as a loss/statement. The major theaters were decidedly over in a very short period. Unless you need winning to mean annihilate or getting everyone to agree on things, those were both won quickly.
