Absolutely this. I'm a contractor in UK financial services (primarily) and see this pattern across all of the large UK and global financial institutions you've heard of.
- giantg2 6y agoI also work for a large financial company. It's scary how the product/program managers think security or technical upgrades are not their responsibility. Even after explaining the potential impact, they just don't care because it won't help their metrics. Imagine accepting external files from vendors while the system is vulnerable to SQL injection including the ability to drop tables etc - insane.
