Taking the job which allows you to retain a greater portion of the value of your own labor is not "poaching". TSMC apparently decided they weren't worth enough to keep at that price.
- ethbro 6y agoThat's kind of like saying Uber allows drivers to retain a greater portion of the value of their own labor. When in reality we're talking about a greater portion of venture capital.
- mensetmanusman 6y agoTSMC doesn’t have free capital from the government to make those decisions.
- monocasa 6y agoTSMC absolutely gets free capital from various governments. That's the whole point of that Arizona fab they're building.
