USPS sent tens of thousands of ePacket (international air mail) packages by boat recently—supposedly the first time in history they've done that. Instead of shipments arriving in 1-2 weeks, they took 6-12 weeks. Completely screwed people over. Our organization has now dropped USPS entirely for international shipments, and we spend a few million annually on shipping. There was also a massive rate increase recently, particularly to the UK, that has made USPS far less competitive compared to other shippers.
