I have two friends that were former investigators for the CCRB, both as part of a criminal justice lawyer track. The stories they told were horrifying, and even in the clearest cut cases of obvious police abuses absolutely nothing ever came from any case. It was a glorified suggestion box, gutted by NYPD’s union, masquerading as oversight.
