Is he really? That sounds hopeful. I'd perhaps wrongly assumed that the Democrats would undo Trump's efforts to create and keep jobs in the US and revert to unfettered globalism.
- jjcon 6y agohttps://joebiden.com/madeinamerica/ https://joebiden.com/madeinamerica/ Yeah, it should be interesting - Biden hasn’t traditionally been as protectionist but it looks like whoever gets elected, globalism has definitely past its peak
- blisseyGo 6y agoBiden's not doing anything himself. His handlers are just saying things to get the votes. He's been in office for decades and hadn't achieved anything other than selling out to China and now he wants to promise stuff? Looks like stating facts rustled some jimmies.
- chance_state 6y agoPlease go do this somewhere else. Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, etc. There's plenty of platforms for it.
- setpatchaddress 6y agoFurther, I think it's likely that these are not empty campaign promises on Biden's part. From 2011: https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a15124510/what-id-do-differently-vice-president-joe-biden-interview/ https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a15124510/what-id-do-d... JB: I would have, just because I don’t accept this proposition that somehow the U.S. cannot handle a heavy-duty manufacturing capacity, that we should shift our focus to service industries. Look at Japan and Germany—their labor costs are as high as ours. Big countries have to be able to make big things. Have to.
- benlumen 6y agoI was downvoted for my original question for some reason but thanks for sharing this - I genuinely had no idea that the Democrats were on the same page here.
- atlgator 6y agoGlobalism will resume unfettered, just not to China.
