I'm surprised to see no mention in here of the international fixed calendar [0](sometimes called the 'Kodak calendar'). Kodak adopted it in part because Georgia Eastman (founder) was a big proponant, but also because for corporate scheduling the regularity made things like maintenance and long run chemical/manufacturing processes simpler to plan.
