The US President has been falsely accused of colluding with Russia and the press (both in America and beyond incl. the UK) cheered these allegations on. Even after they've been disproved by Mueller there haven't been too many retractions (if any?). If the MI5 takes down accounts the press already doesn't like it will probably similarly be welcomed by them.
