By booting an OS from a CD - yes I knew about this. I just hope it isn't a built in 'unlock' utility. If that was the case then OK. I also understand running things to check if they work - that's why I didn't make a problem out of it. I am not OK in changing/running things on the machine without contacting the owner. This makes a user uncomfortable.
