I am not sure I understand this comment, in the context- cloudflare misconfigured some routes and it was quickly resolved. was this a DDoS?

  His point is why the internet has a single point of failure -> Cloudflare. They offer DDoS protection for free.

  I think the point was that so many companies wouldn't have to rely on anti-DDoS protection from Cloudflare.
