- atarian 6y ago>It is illegal to purchase counterfeit goods. Bringing them into the United States may result in civil or criminal penalties. https://www.cbp.gov/FakeGoodsRealDangers https://www.cbp.gov/FakeGoodsRealDangers
- kart23 6y agoTell that to amazon
- Waterfall 6y agoSo you never did anything illegal in your life? Sounds more like you want to scare people from ordering rather than speaking the truth.
- atarian 6y agoI was just pointing out what OP suggested is illegal. Not sure why you need to question my personal choices in life and make up some malicious intent for doing that.
- acid__ 6y agoRealistically though, CBP isn't going to come after you if you're buying a few hundred bucks of apparel for personal use.
- DanBC 6y agoYou can find yourself on a CBP list if you import counterfeit goods. https://www.racked.com/2018/1/8/16849298/amazon-counterfeits-global-entry-customs https://www.racked.com/2018/1/8/16849298/amazon-counterfeits...
- mindslight 6y agoSo the risk is being unable to purchase totalitarian favors? If you're that worried, have the package addressed to a different nym.
- gruez 6y agoFunny how there's a list for natural persons, but not (large) corporations.
- oh_sigh 6y agoThere are well known open air markets in downtown Manhattan where everyone goes for counterfeit goods. If that place stays open, I really doubt getting one jersey with freehongkong written on it is going to set off their alarm bells.
- panny 6y agoThat's a good way to lose your Global Entry membership too. https://www.racked.com/2018/1/8/16849298/amazon-counterfeits-global-entry-customs https://www.racked.com/2018/1/8/16849298/amazon-counterfeits... >past violation of customs laws or regulations on your record may make you ineligible for Trusted Traveler programs
