Civility?
To your post I can reply that ducks have very long corkscrew penises, which has nothing to do with your post and is what you're also doing when you reply. Discussions happen when people are speaking to each other not one ranting at a question.
- fit2rule 6y agoCivility? How about you take an honest look at the evil that the US military and its death cult has brought to the world, and then we can be civil. There is nothing civil about justifying the utter evil that the American military complex is enacting on the world. Your attempt to avoid confronting that issue is very telling. It is scary, especially if you are a citizen whose military is responsible for these crimes against humanity. It will come back to you, citizen, eventually.
- Waterfall 6y agoI simply asked 2 questions: How do you think the US was founded? Where would the US be without it's military? You are avoiding it, not me.
- fit2rule 6y agoYour non-sequitur America-first questions are really irrelevant to the discussion of whether or not we should be content with the US' death cult recruiting children for its illegal wars. Where do I think the world would be without the US military today? There'd be millions of innocent people - mothers, fathers, children - still alive, building their own nations into a better place to live. Mosul wouldn't be a burning pile of rubble, Raqqa too. There wouldn't be millions of innocent victims buried under the rubble that American citizens put them under. Maybe those of us in the West who enjoy these things could even have a vacation in the cradle of civilisation in Iraq and Syria, and actually enjoy the cultures of these peoples instead of reviling them. If it didn't spend a trillion dollars a year on death and destruction of cultures it fears, America would easily have what it needed to offer its citizens world-class education and health care at similar standards to the rest of the western world. Clean water for its children. Perhaps, if Americans hadn't all signed up to their death cult, they'd have the funds for a better response to the pandemic, and maybe .. here is a cool thought .. average American citizens would have the skills to learn the languages and read the books of the cultures they fear so much today, instead of signing up to callously and evilly drop bombs on 'evil' (innocent) people whose language they can't even speak.
- Waterfall 6y agoI don't know what your problem is, but when you spend all your time ignoring questions, insulting others, and expecting them to read your angry wall of text, you're wrong.
- fit2rule 6y agoMy problem is, folks such as yourself continue to discount the evil cost to humanity of ignorance of Americas recent multiple, heinous crimes against humanity, and folks such as yourself justify these evil acts endlessly, such that they continue unhindered by civilian oversight, in order to avoid the cold hard truth: the American people have the blood of millions of innocent people on their hands, today. Just as the German people did in 1945. My problem with you specifically, is that you are doing this: “People tend to turn away from disasters such as a war gone bad very quickly. They turn away because it bothers them morally, but also because the carnage challenges their strongly held self-perception that their country is a force for good in the world,” said Tirman. “In the face of something horrible, people are much more likely to become indifferent than they are to protest. Oftentimes it’s even easier to just blame the victims for causing their own suffering.” https://theintercept.com/2018/11/19/civilian-casualties-us-war-on-terror/ https://theintercept.com/2018/11/19/civilian-casualties-us-w...
- Waterfall 6y agoI asked you 2 questions and you do nothing but rant about everything else, subjects that could have been brought up respectfully but instead are rammed down like font vomit. Do you actually expect me to read or treat any of your supposed facts with any respect after you constantly contradict yourself, insult anyone who disagrees and rant about subjects others aren't even talking about? Who cares what a rude person says?
- fit2rule 6y agoI'm not under any obligation to conform to the social standards of someone who defends the very real military evil that is being committed, every single day for decades, in their name. Show some respect and dignity: look for yourself just how bad the situation with the US' military really is. It is a heinous shit show, and Americans should be shunned around the world for supporting it. That is already happening, and is only going to get worse as your country, like any psychopathic organism, rips itself apart in order to prevent further evil ...
- watwut 6y agoHis comment was not uncivil. He added the other side to "cool military kill or be killed" framing.
- Waterfall 6y ago>Why do I have an obligation to answer to your justifications for endless, evil war? Is this how you respond civilly, by saying you have no obligation and rudely making a hyperbole?
- fit2rule 6y agoWhat hyperbole? Are you really unaware that Americans murdered 5% of Iraqs population? Are you really so ignorant of the fact that the US drops bombs on innocent people at the rate of 1 every twenty minutes for the last 20 years? Come on, you can't be so ignorant of the fact that in the last few years the US literally turned multiple cities with populations greater than 2 million civilians into burning piles of rubble? That it dropped more bombs on Afghanistan LAST YEAR than ever before. Seriously, there is nothing rude about pointing out America's evils, nor the ignorance of its citizens. Did you think we were all Americans here? Some of us are not that ignorant.
- watwut 6y agoCalling war endless is accurate, given it does not end. Plus, there was always armed conflict for over last 30 years. Calling war evil is not uncivil. That is how wars are perceived by people who live through them - there are massive non combatants populations suffering a lot. Movies don't show that part or only as aside, that they make you feel it is all cool and heroic. But reality and memories of civilians who went through wars are in the realms of "that was evil".
- fit2rule 6y agoYes, exactly. And this is, incidentally, why Americans are so afraid of looking at the statistics of their wars. Because the very real evil of America's wars is obvious, in plain view, for all to see. “People tend to turn away from disasters such as a war gone bad very quickly.
