I don't think the issue is entirely BIG PHARMA trying to recklessly profiteer off cancer.
While there is certainly a lot of unhealthy lifestyle decisions that lead to cancer, it's not exclusively due to BIG CORPORATE INTERESTS that people engage in them. Sometimes you want to eat some garbage. You say "a little" modification but the reality is you're basically asking all of society to change overnight as a solution to cancer.
Calling snake oil peddlers who are profiting of doing nothing or worse, in the case of MMS and anti-vax, actively HARMING instead of at least doing nothing a conspiracy by BIG PHARMA to convince you its the only way is absurd.
I generally agree with you that there a lot of lifestyle choices people make that are enabled partially by corporate interest. I think more of them are a consequence of the realities of our economic structure than the direct objective of doing business.
Ultimately cancer is natural. You can make all the lifestyle choices you want and it doesn't eliminate your risk. And maybe some of the lifestyle compromises aren't worth it to you. Maybe they are. Maybe you get lucky. Maybe you don't.
You're insulting the intelligence of everyone if you think they're not aware that taking care of themselves with diet/exercise is hard to imagine. It's not a secret to someone who is overweight that they're overweight. But it's possible that person has a sedentary job and between their job and taking care of their family and the stress involved between them and the fact that they've been on a 10-20 year decline to their current waistline they don't have it within themselves to find the time/energy/means to climb out of the hole.
Its not a grand conspiracy, its life in the modern world.
