Alternatively there is the pulseaudio module: module-echo-cancel (https://askubuntu.com/questions/18958/realtime-noise-removal-with-pulseaudio https://askubuntu.com/questions/18958/realtime-noise-removal...), which I have been using so far. I haven't tried NoiseTorch yet. How do the two compare?

NoiseTorch uses RNNoise, which uses a mix of deep learning and DSP to remove noise. I haven't used module-echo-cancel yet, but it's probably "just" classical DSP, rnnoise may deliver better results.
