The bats that carried RaTG13 are 1000 miles away from Wuhan. It's unclear how it would have migrated to Wuhan given that horseshoe bats do not live near Wuhan. On the other hand, the one thing we know for certain is that RaTG13 was present in Wuhan and was brought there by researchers at the WIV.
