The NYT wouldn't have hesitated to publish Tyrese's photo had he been white and Fahim had been black. Probably their respective races would have even been mentioned in the headline.
- anonymous38529 6y agoWhat is the point of downvoting an obvious temp account, other than to censor an opinion you disagree with but evidently can't refute? Taking GoodBoyPoints away from me isn't going to change my mind (viz. that leftwing MSM outlets only reports race when it suits their narrative).
- erulabs 6y agoYou’re being downvoted because this is unhelpful speculation which adds nothing to the discussion - be it true or untrue. If the response to what you say is “OK...”, what you have said is not terribly interesting.
- summitsummit 6y agohow do you downvote on here?
- mattm 6y agoYou need to have a certain amount of karma before it appears
- ativzzz 6y agoYou need 400 or 500 karma/points before the downvote button shows up.
- mkl 6y agoYou need more than 500 karma: https://github.com/minimaxir/hacker-news-undocumented https://github.com/minimaxir/hacker-news-undocumented
- trianglem 6y agoWhich makes sense. Black people have historically been and currently are scapegoats for a lot of crimes they did not commit. Kinda makes sense to give them more leeway.
- Waterfall 6y agoSo have the Irish, Chinese, and Italians. What does the crimes of others of the same race have to do with it?
