I guess the lesson here is do background checks when hiring a PA.
- mchusma 6y agoI suspect this was this person's first chainsaw murder, so that wouldn't have shown up on a background check.
- chefgoldbluum 6y agoOther possible lessons: Don't get a PA, manage your own affairs. Keep your PA at a very comfortable distance. Take your privacy and security very seriously. Go to the police when someone steals of 10s of thousands of dollars from you. Do what you can to see that person charged to the full extent that the law allows. Don't come up with a payment plan for them. My own read is this guy was more concerned about being/appearing socially responsible and forwent good risk management. In the end tho, to end up dead and dismembered from this, this guy is still very unlucky.
- driverdan 6y agoIt sounds like you've never had the privilege of working with a good PA. They're a force multiplier and allow you to focus on bigger, more important issues. I'd have one if I could afford it.
- RspecMAuthortah 6y agoOr don't hire a 21 yr old with questionable background as your chief of staff dealing with hundreds of thousands of dollars.
