It's still going to be AI/ML. The AI summer started with convnets, then generative models like GAN, and more recently transformer-based NLP. Each of these represents a step change in capability, fuelling its own wave of hype. It's impossible to forecast these types of breakthroughs, but they'll keep happening. My bet is that in 10 years we'll have extremely life-like agents that come close to passing the turing test.
