ORide was not in any form the "chosen winners" - in fact, they were driven out of the market by the regulation in question.
I know there is the tendency for Westerners to clutch pearls when anything even remotely referencing China is mentioned but at least temper it with reason.
- rshnotsecure 6y agoThis is not true and does not reflect the volume and metric of news. China is treated extremely gently for such gross human rights abuses. I grant that Americans could still be hysterical about them, but then why would Russia be mentioned say 5:1 more in the news than them? Are we hysterical hysterical about them then?
- Apocryphon 6y agoWhy even bring up Russian intelligence anyway? If you're going to mention state actors, why even mention China and Russia and not ISI, RAW, Mossad, IRGC, Saudi GID, or even North Korea? It's all so arbitrary.
