I bought a fairly pricey, but sturdy pedestal fan to endure the hot Australian summer. I read a couple of reviews and they were fairly favourable, but in the end I missed the key flaw: it has a giant bright white LED indicator to show the fan speed. It does not have an option to hide the LED indicator and so I've had to cover it up with paper to avoid my room lighting up at night. I know the message has been echoed by a few people in this thread, but how hard is it to allow these indicators to be disabled or simply not install them on the device?
