- dodobirdlord 6y agoAlibaba has a whole 2 regions in the US, and they’re much smaller than AWS/GCP regions. They are not a significant infrastructure player outside of China, and an app like TikTok is high bandwidth and latency sensitive. It’s not feasible to host something like that entirely out of datacenters in China.
